Real friendly ,helpful,and not overwhelming.Just came in trying to figure out what truck might be right for me in the GMC line of trucks being I've been a Ford guy most of my life.With the interest rates being what they are,they stiil made me an affordable deal that I was able to take advantage of.Awesome rebates and incentives were uncovered,and the deal was made.I highly recommend,Brandon and his dealership!

SERVICE DEPARTMENT REVIEW: I worked with Ben Markowski to resolve a issue regarding my vehicle's software, and am not the most car savvy customer. However, Ben understood my concern and resolved my issue promptly. He is very easy to work with, and I look forward to working with the Service Department again at GMC of Rochester!
Rob sold me the best car at the very best price. I'm still trying to figure out all of its capabilities, but Rob did a really helpful thing by splitting our test drive where he drove first, showing me how to use the car, followed by parking at a nearby gas station and swapping seats so I could more comfortably try out the car. THANKS ROB, YOU GOT A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. SERVICE REVIEW: October 10th, 2025: Ben Markowski is so great to work with! I had some software concerns with my vehicle, and am not super car savvy. Luckily, Ben understood my concerns easily and went above and beyond to resolve it. He kept me informed throughout the process, and was incredibly kind and understanding. I was stranded at a medical clinic waiting for my son to give me a jump to start my car. I called Shamar at GMC and asked if it was safe to drive once the car was started as there were multiple things flashing. He told me not to worry and to drive to the dealership without a problem. He took care of me when I got to the dealership. It wasn’t long and I was back on the rode. Thanks to Shamar for calming my fears.

Very happy with the service from sales representative Branden and the broader GMC team. They focus on understanding your needs first, not necessarily trying to sell you anything in particular. They are very transparent, honest, and show they care. This immediately showed me they are a party who you can trust. They want you to have a great experience and ultimately make the right decision with regards to purchasing a car. Also the service and follow-up after the initial agreement was great and they were able to deliver the car faster than expected. Very happy with my purchase and entire process; kudos to Branden and the GMC team for making that happen!

I contacted the dealership about a used Ford they had just listed on the site. Ian Bergstrom was the salesman that was taking care of me. The truck was listed with a "coming soon" status and was still going through their inspection and maintenance routine, but Ian was able to give me all of the information I asked for very quickly. I didn't have to wait long for him to set me up with a time to check out the vehicle and go for a test drive, and I assume he put a priority status on the maintenance to make it available. After the test drive, I let him know that I hadn't been searching long and that the truck wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Ian was persistent, but in a no-pressure way that I hadn't experienced at a dealership before. After letting him know that I wasn't yet comfortable calling off the search just yet, I was informed that management approved the Penz lifetime powertrain warranty for me: something that this truck didn't meet the typical brand, mileage, or age requirements for. After thinking it over, I let him know that I still wanted to keep searching for a truck that checked all of my boxes. Ian asked for a list of things I wanted that were not met by this vehicle, and I was honest with him. I let him know what I wanted (within reason), and even an overall price that I was comfortable with. The next morning, he told me management approved those items which included an altered price. I purchased the truck and have been driving it for over three months now. I'm still happy with it, but more than that have been happy with the level of effort and support received from Penz. Not only was Ian great to work with, but the sales manager, admins, and financial employees have been great, too. This is the first time I've purchased from a dealership that I didn't feel pushed around or taken advantage of during and after the process. I went in very reserved, wary, and ready to leave as soon as I felt like somebody was trying to pull one over on me. It didn't take long to realize that was unnecessary. I'd again like to say how pleased I was, and remain, with the treatment I received and the conduct of the employees at the GMC location in Rochester. I do feel like they went above and beyond to make sure I left the lot happy with the transaction.

My recent service visit went well. The only thing there was a little confusion on was my recall on the 6.2 L engine that they told me they were going to scope and decide if it needed to be replaced.When I got it back they said it wasn’t due for that yet because GM had not requested that vehicle to be done, even though the MyGmc app shows it was. I also thought when you brought your vehicle in for service, they would run it through their car wash, selling point when you buy there, but wash always seems to be broke down.
Ben was very kind and helpful. He gave me a phone number in case I had any questions while service was being done to my vehicle. He also walked me to my vehicle to make sure everything was right once the service was completed.
We had an excellent experience with Tori at GMC after we hit a deer and needed body work on our almost new car. Tori met with the adjustor, set everything up, and communicated with us regularly.The work was excellent--like the new car that it is. This was a positive experience.

We were looking for a car for my son and found one we wanted to see at GMC of Rochester. Worked with Rob and Skyler who were both fantastic. I was honest about looking at other cars while in town, they were both super and let us take our time to view everything we came to see. When we decided to move forward to a purchase they provided a fair trade in value on our car. They provided a fair price on the car we were buying and we added an extended warranty. They fully explained their warranty and guarantee which gave us peace of mind knowing we had 7 days or 700 miles to return policy. They also provided a lifetime power train warranty with two free oil changes/tire rotations if we choose to use them. I hate buying cars and this process was smooth and seamless because of Rob and Skyler. I highly recommend GMC of Rochester if you are looking for a new or used car.

I drove 2 1/2 hours to test drive and potentially purchase a truck that I had found online two days prior. The sales man Ian was quick to respond at night when I didn’t expect anyone to be reaching back out to me. The next day he stayed in contact with me and got all the information and even additional pictures I asked for before making a long trip to check out a truck. The day of there was a hiccup with the truck, but the team stayed in contact with me and did all they could to make sure I was well taken care of. I talked to about 3-4 people pertaining to the issue that arose that morning, which to me meant that everyone was thoroughly involved and wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with my purchase. After speaking with the VP, sales manager, and my salesman, it was clear I would be happy with my purchase. They are great to work with and would highly recommend to anyone I know if they are in the market for a new and used vehicle. And their inventory is very appealing all around.

My wife and I came in with our toddler boys on Memorial Day to buy a van. We were there for only a few hours and our experience was great while buying the van. Our salesman was Brandon McGee and he was fantastic to work with. Our van wasn’t fully detailed yet but while we were waiting for the financing to go through we noticed he was out thoroughly cleaning the van and it looked great! After leaving with the van the check engine light came on two days later and we also noticed the rear AC didn’t work. This dealership offers a 7 day warranty and they stood behind it. We got quoted $4000 to fix our $8500 van and this dealership did not hesitate to fix the issues at no cost to us. This was very impressive that they stand behind their word and we couldn’t be happier going through this dealership! Our only “complaint” is we never received call backs when leaving voicemails for the service team.

The car repair down the street couldn't get me in earliest by afternoon. We were packed and ready to head home 3 hours away. Since I drive a Denali, I saw the GMC dealership and thought by chance they definitely would know how to help me. I was correct! The gentleman went above and beyond by changing a fuse and not charging me. He ran many diagnostic tests and made sure we were going to be safe on our travels. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! ( Those "service trailer brakes" alarms are unforgiving.)

I cannot say enough good things about the service department at GMC in Rochester. My vehicle suffered catastrophic engine failure while I was in Rochester attempting to get to the Mayo Clinic. I live over 3.5 hours away and had only recently purchased the vehicle, so I was extremely stressed and overwhelmed by the situation. What I expected to be a simple repair quickly turned into a nearly 9-week ordeal involving my warranty company and the remanufactured engine company they selected. None of those delays were the fault of the dealership. Throughout the entire process, the service department maintained excellent communication, answered my questions, and treated me with patience and kindness every time I called for updates. They went above and beyond advocating on my behalf and navigating the endless headaches created by the warranty and reman companies. What impressed me most was their honesty and attention to detail. After the replacement engine was installed, they discovered timing issues with the remanufactured engine. Instead of taking shortcuts or sending me down the road in a vehicle that wasn't right, they addressed the problem and made sure everything was repaired correctly. That level of integrity is hard to find. I've dealt with a lot of service departments over the years, and I can honestly say I have never felt more comfortable or confident in a team handling my vehicle repairs. They consistently put my mind at ease during an incredibly stressful situation and made sure I would be getting back a safe and reliable vehicle. Even though I live over three and a half hours away, the next time I'm in the market for a vehicle, I will absolutely consider making the trip to purchase from them. Their professionalism, honesty, and commitment to doing things the right way have earned my trust and my business. Thank you to everyone involved (especially Jason) for going above and beyond. It did not go unnoticed.

Our check engine light started blinking before we could get our friend to his Mayo appointment (Danger Will Robinson!), but we couldn't stop and make it to his appointment on time. As soon as the GMC office opened I called and started making arrangements for service. They recommended Rochester Towing (it did take awhile. They were busy!) but the driver was very nice and gave me a ride to the dealership. Everyone there on Jason's crew was super nice! Recognized I was stressed about the situation and went out of their way to be accommodating, thoughtful and kind. Their shuttle service (Thank you, Ken!) picked up my husband and friend at Mayo after his afternoon appointment and brought them to the service area. They were able to diagnose and fix our vehicle and get us on the road home! On a busy Friday! I would highly recommend their professionalism and expertise. Our thanks to you all!!

Yesterday 1/23/26- I was helped by Louie Dion! It was crazy and awesome at the same time that although Louie helped me, Another gentleman had stood next to him, his coworker (Ben) and supported him with sharing information on some questions that I had! Just a wonderful experience altogether. Yes, it is a great down home auto shop! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nobody was competing. They all shared the joy of working together. I recently visited this auto shop for a diagnostic after purchasing a car from another dealer, and I was thoroughly impressed. The level of compassion, respect, and dignity I received was remarkable—something you don’t often find in auto dealerships. I felt like a valued customer from the moment I walked in. Their service was exceptional; despite being busy, they handled my needs promptly and efficiently. It was such a luxury to learn about my car's issues while also being assured that everything was taken care of. They also accommodate your schedule, which makes it incredibly easy for those who work or go to school. The staff were friendly, always smiling and greeting customers warmly. On 01-10-26 I took our Yukon 2015 to check a new noise I heard the night before; I was told it was not recommended to keep driving the vehicle ! In a matter of 3 hours we were able to get a new Yukon Elevation 2026. I have to thanks the Certified Service Advisor Louie Don for his help to quickly diagnose the problem; Many thanks to the Certified Sales Professional Ian Bergstrom for all his advise and help to choose the new car we wanted; we are very grateful to the Finance Manager for all his effort for us to get the new Yukon after just 3 hours, and finally thanks to the staff of the Shuttle Service for their help to take me back and forth from the dealership to our home and back to the dealership. Thanks to GMC for having such as great group of people working together !
I was nervous at first, buying a nicer truck when everything seems to be more expensive. They listened, worked with me, looked at several options for financing, and never pressured me throughout the entire process. I included some preventative services with the truck I purchased and the service dept was kind, quick, thorough, and accommodating! Plus, my truck looked amazing inside and out even after dropping it off with ice and salt on it. I love my truck, and though it's the most expensive vehicle I've ever purchased, the entire positive experience made it easier to quickly transition just really enjoying the new-to-me vehicle. Great Communication, great follow-up to questions asked and finding the answers if unknown. To have a dealership like this tend to your every need and listen to you is something I haven't experienced in a long time and that is thanks to Ben Markowski. We have had vehicles from Honda, Chevrolet, & Subaru and it's never been this great of service, but when we bought our truck from Penz Chevrolet we have never been happier. I had an amazing experience working with GMC of Rochester. It is my first car and they left no stone unturned in helping us!
We had problems with a brake module when we were in the Minneapolis/Rochester area. We stopped in and they checked it over immediately to determine if it was drivable. They determined it was not safe and that we should get it repaired. They ordered the parts and since it took a while to get them, we were given a rental car to take us back to Sioux Falls. A week later, when everything was repaired, a driver brought our vehicle back and picked up the rental car. Since we have owned the vehicle, 2025 Buick enclave, for only nine months it was all under warranty. They were very professional, and we appreciated their promptness very much.
Brandon did a great job with my wife purchasing a used vehicle. Friendly, and treated her with respect, answered all her questions. A pleasent test drive helped seal the sale. Literally felt no pressure and the 7 day return policy really gave her peace of mind that she literally would not get "stuck" if she felt a mistake was made a few days after purchase. Well done staff!

I bought a used 2012 Rav4 from GMC of Rochester. It was a great experience. I thought the price was fair, and they put new tires, brakes, battery, wipers, etc. Most impressive was the detailing they put into that car before I picked it up. It literally looked like a brand new car after it was detailed.
